# Reward Staking Details

PonkeSwap’s staking operates under a **soft lock** system. You can unstake your tokens at any time, providing flexibility while encouraging commitment through duration-based rewards.\

PonkeSwap’s staking operates under a **soft lock** system. You can unstake your tokens at any time, providing flexibility while encouraging commitment through duration-based rewards.

Unstaking before your chosen staking period ends results in forfeiture of any accumulated rewards, ensuring long-term stakers benefit the most.

**Claiming**\
Once your staking period concludes, rewards can be claimed. If the full staking period is honored, users can claim both their original staked tokens and the earned rewards without penalty.

**Restaking** \
At the end of your staking period, simply **unstake and claim** your earned rewards. Afterward, you can choose to **restake your tokens** in a new staking period to keep earning rewards. This approach gives you control over your staking cycle, allowing you to decide when to reinvest and maximize your returns.\

**Rewards Pool**\
The **Rewards Pool** will grow progressively as PonkeSwap collects more fees from swap transactions and rolls out new platform features. These updates will enhance opportunities for stakers to earn greater rewards over time.
